Friday, March 25
“Wee Readers Story Time for 0-23 Months” – Every Friday at 10am, the Wee Readers class meets weekly in the Frisco Public Library. Tickets will be available on class days at the second floor “Ask Us!” desk, when the Library opens.
“Super Friday Fun Night” – Kids night out at the FAC! Start off in the Zone playing air hockey, billiards, and foosball during check-in. Next, head to the Indoor Aquatic Center for swimming in the lazy river, play pool, and slide down ‘Big Blue’ (must be 48′ to ride). End the night with a pizza dinner and fun, active and cooperative games in our studios and gym. Bring your friends and join us for Super Friday Fun Nights! Drop off in Zone. Guardian must come into FAC with participant to sign a waiver on first visit. Bring bathing suit and towel.

“EGGstravaganza at the Ballpark” – The Frisco RoughRiders will be hosting a free and open to the public Spring EGGstravaganza at Dr Pepper Ballpark on Saturday, March 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This special event is highlighted by an Easter Egg hunt starting at 11:20 a.m. for all kids 12-and-under to search the outfield for hidden Easter Eggs. In addition to the Easter Egg hunt, there will be a coloring contest, airbrush artist, and a bounce house. Both the Primrose Schools and Deuce’s Playgrounds will be open during the event.

“Art in the Atrium 12” – The City of Frisco Public Art Program Call for Entries! Entry Deadline TODAY, March 27th. The City of Frisco’s Public Art Program is calling for artists to submit for Art in the Atrium 12, an exhibit featuring artwork from North Texas artists. Artwork will be exhibited throughout the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center for approximately six months beginning Monday, April 25, 2016. Artists are invited to submit two-dimensional artwork to be considered. This is an ideal opportunity for artists eager to share their works of art and vision with the community.

Bring your lunch, and learn more about rainwater harvesting, tips for installing and maintaining a rain barrel, and techniques for trouble-shooting common problems. This free workshop will offer an introduction to rainwater harvesting while displaying the Ivy Rain Barrel offered in partnership with Rainwater Solutions, Inc. “7th Annual ARTS IN THE SQUARE” – Returns April 2-3, 2016 in Frisco Square. In collaboration with the Frisco Independent School District, Frisco Square presents the 7th Annual Arts in the Square with proceeds going to the Frisco Education Foundation and Frisco Family Services. Arts in the Square 2016 takes place April 2nd and 3rd, and will feature over 120 of some of the best local and regional artists selling their handmade creations. Artists compete in the following categories: Fine Arts/Graphics, Pottery, Textiles, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metal, Photography, Wood, and Miscellaneous. So come out, and feast your eyes on incredible art or sit and relax by Simpson Plaza, listen to local musicians, watch ongoing performing arts, enjoy interactive art activities, and treat yourself to the food and spirits available at the variety of award-winning restaurants on site. “5th Annual Downtown Frisco StrEATS” – On Saturday, April 9th, the Main Street Merchants Association is hosting the 5th annual Downtown Frisco StrEATS event from 12noon to 7pm. This event will host more than 20 food trucks and attract more than 15,000 attendees in one afternoon. There will be live music from local and regional performers. The event will be located in the parking lot just behind the Chamber of Commerce building, south of Main St. and between 3rd and 4th streets. There will be approximately 16 vendor spaces available specifically for local artists and arts organizations. These spaces will be located at the entrance to the event on the corner of Main and 4th, next to the gazebo. The cost per 10’x10′ space is $100 ($50 for non-profit organizations). “2016 Collin College CougarRun 5K and Fun Run” – On Saturday, April 9th, the inaugural CougarRun K5 and Fun Run is presented by State Farm and The Pride at Collin College’s Preston Ridge Campus in Frisco. The event will raise funds for the Alumni Scholarship Fund at the Collin College Foundation. Collin alumni, donors, supporters, current students, faculty and staff, as well as community members are encouraged to bring their friends and families to join us for this fun, first-time event that will change the lives of deserving Collin College students! Event Registration: Early Bird Registration is $25 now through March 15; Regular Registration is $30 March 16-April 8.
