“Christmas in the Square 2015” – It’s the final days, closing Sunday, January 3rd, for the largest choreographed holiday lights and music show in North Texas. This was Christmas in the Square returns 11th year, full of established favorites and new surprises. Skate the Square will stay open until January 3rd: https://lifestylefrisco.com/press-releases/skate-the-square-2015/ And, carriage rides will be available Thursday through Sundays starting on November 27 through January 3rd (weather permitting) from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. A horse drawn carriage is one of the many ways to enjoy the Light Extravaganza and will be loading at the corner of Coleman Boulevard and Frisco Square Boulevard.
“Sci-Tech Discovery Center hosts Countdown to Noon” – Sci-Tech Discovery Center, Frisco’s leading family-friendly cultural and educational destination, is mixing science with play this New Year’s Eve with“Countdown to Noon.” The event will be jammed packed with interactive science activities as Sci-Tech and its guests prepare to celebrate 2016 early on December 31 (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) for the little scientists. Activities include:
- StarLab Planetarium shows: “Seasons and Stars,” “Fireworks in Motion,” “Gravity of the Situation” and “Color Me Impressed”
- Demo: How to make Liquid Nitrogen ice cream
- Explosive stage shows educating guests about fireworks’ chemical reactions, sonic boom and combustion
- Watch NYE celebrations from around the world
- Face painting and popcorn
- A balloon drop at noon

“Frisco City Council Meeting” – The Frisco City Council typically meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month inside the City Council Chamber at the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd. Citizens are welcome to attend the open meeting, which generally begins at 6:30 p.m. Citizens’ input is heard at approximately 7:30 p.m.
