“Frisco Chamber of Commerce Get On Track” – At 7:16 AM – Presented by SMD Consulting & Accounting, LLC, Get on Track takes place every Thursday morning at the Chamber office, beginning at 7:16 AM. The meeting takes places in our Event Room where we typically average 90 – 100 attendees. Breakfast and networking runs from 7:16 AM – 7:45 AM. Attendees who have arrived before 7:45 AM will be given 30 seconds for their “business commercial.” We also have a five minute presentation from our Breakfast Sponsor each week. It is an energetic crowd, so be prepared to have a great time and to meet new people! There is no need to register for this event, just come on by! Please park and enter through the back entrance. Remember to bring plenty of business cards. Guest are welcome to attend Get on Track up to two times prior to joining the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. When you arrive, ask for an Ambassador. “MakerSpace First Friday” – Interested in starting the New Year with a new experience or project? Then check out the MakerSpace presented by Raytheon at Sci-Tech Discovery Center in Frisco.The MakerSpace gives tinkerers, inventors and budding hobbyists the chance to build almost anything they can imagine. Veterans and their families have exclusive access to the MakerSpace on the first Friday of each month as part of a program called First Fridays. The MakerSpace is equipped with a 3D-printer, robotics kits, a full-spectrum laser cutter and advanced woodworking tools – a proverbial “candy store” for the do-it-yourself crowd. Veterans and military participants in First Fridays must present their military I.D. for access to the MakerSpace. Children over 10 years old are also welcome.
“Frisco Area Creatives – First Friday Breakfast Meeting” – It’s time for 2017’s first First Friday get-together of the Frisco Area Creatives to meet, network, and discuss ways to promote local activities. So if you’re in the arts, and want to meet other creative people in the Frisco area, come have some breakfast with us. Musicians, actors, lighting, set design, painters, sound, camera, and more… in Frisco, Plano, Hebron, The Colony, Lewisville, Hackberry Little Elm, Prosper, McKinney, Fairview, Allen, etc, etc… Come join us THIS Friday morning, and as part of our “support local businesses,” we always pick a locally owned (not chain) restaurant in which to meet

“2017 NCAA Division 1 FCS Football Championship” – The #RoadToFrisco, which began August 27, 2016, will end January 7, 2017 at Toyota Stadium when the James Madison University Dukes and the Youngstown State University Penguins face off in the NCAA Division I Football Championship. Tickets for the game are going quickly, so be sure to get yours!
“Saturday at the Museum – Lecture Series” – From 10am to 11am, come a little early (9:30) for breakfast snacks and coffee. FREE at the Frisco Heritage Museum. Experts on all facets of state and national history provide compelling presentations, often from their own books. Facts, statistics, rumors and tall tales provide an entertaining session for adults. In the 1930s, the United States was in the throes of the Great Depression, and Texas was no exception. Both land and people were struggling. What could help them? The answer came in the form of the Civilian Conservation Corps.
“Frisco Improv Players” – Frisco Improv Players is an improvisational comedy troupe that specializes in family-friendly, game-based comedic performances, similar to those seen on the syndicated television show “Whose Line is it Anyway?” The troupe performs at the Frisco Discovery Center at 8004 North Dallas Parkway, where their fast-paced, interactive improv is popular with all age groups. “Law Enforcement Appreciation Day” – From 10am to 4pm, the Frisco community and the Police Officers who serve it are invited to an Open House in the Heritage Center Depot from 10am-4pm where attendees and sponsors can say thank you to Law Enforcement. At high noon, “The History of the Frisco Police Department” display window featuring photos and artifacts will be unveiled at the Museum with a ribbon cutting by Frisco Mayor Maso and Frisco Police Chief Bruce.
