“TAAF Winter Games of Texas” – From Friday, the 13th, through Monday, the 16th, the TAAF Winter Games of Texas returns to Frisco for its twelfth and final time January 13-16, 2017. Look forward to more than 20 different events for youth and adult amateur athletes from across the great state of Texas!
“Wee Readers at Frisco Public Library” – At 10am bring your under 2 year old, 10:30am is 2 years, 11am is 3-5 years.
“Texas Legends vs. Rio Grande Valley Vipers” – Tip off at 7:30pm in Dr. Pepper Arena. Get your Texas Legends tickets!
“Bye Bye Birdie” – This Young Performer’s edition of the classic musical is performed by Frisco Youth Theatre. At 7:15PM on Friday and Saturday. 2:15PM on Saturday and Sunday plus 5:15PM on Sunday. Tickets: $10 in advance, $12 at-the-door.
Saturday, January 14
“Texas Legends vs. Rio Grande Valley Vipers” – Tip off at 7:30pm in Dr. Pepper Arena. Get your Texas Legends tickets!
“Dallas Cowboys and Fans United Host a Postseason Kickoff Event” – Starting at 12noon in The Star ahead of the Cowboys first playoff game the following day. Cowboys fans of all ages are invited to enjoy family-friendly activities on the Tostitos Championship Plaza as the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and Hall of Famer, Charles Haley sign autographs inside the newly opened retail store. There will be giveaways every 30 minutes for autographed footballs, jerseys and even playoff tickets. Additionally, fans will be able to purchase their favorite apparel at Fans United to show their support for the Cowboys throughout the playoffs.
“Elsa & Swashbuckling Pirate – Castle Builder” – At the Sci-Tech Discovery Center, come in and help Elsa with some frozen experiments in the morning. Then, spend the afternoon with learning pirate code, navigation and nautical engineering! No pre-registration is required. Saturday sessions are 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Sunday sessions are 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. General Admission: $8/person and $.6.50 for teachers/military/seniors. Sci-Tech members and all children 2 and under are free!

“Read to Rover” – At 3pm in Frisco Public Library, grab a book and practice read-aloud skills with a therapeutic furry friend! Attendees will take turns reading to therapy dogs. Reading time depends on the number of attendees. Free ticket required and space is limited. Tickets are released on the 2nd floor 30 minutes before the class begins. Student must be present to get a ticket.
“Frisco Star Party” – Texas Astronomical Society holds one monthly Star Parties where members and guests can get together to observe and educate others about the night sky. Look at planets, stars and other celestial wonders at the Frisco Star Party, taking place the second Saturday of each month at Frisco Commons Park.

“Third Sunday Open House at Frisco Heritage Center” – From 1-4pm, enjoy the Third Sunday Open House at the Frisco Heritage Museum. Monthly event includes kid’s crafts, games, working blacksmiths, historic home tours and much more. Admission is FREE!

“Annie Jr. at Frisco City Council Chambers” – It’s a special encore performance of Annie Jr. at Frisco’s City Council Chambers at 3pm! Presented in partnership with Frisco Arts and Frisco Parks and Recreation, come hear the talented students of Frisco Youth Theatre perform songs from this beloved musical theatre classic. The 90-minute concert is recommended for all ages, and tickets are $10 available at will-call. Bring the family and enjoy an afternoon of music and song!
Monday, January 16 – MLK Day, No School
“Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration” – From 11am to 7pm in the Frisco Public Library, 2nd floor, Children’s Program Room, come and experience the history and impact of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through an interactive exhibit. Free, no ticket required. Come-and-go exhibit.
