Does anyone have a good suggest for a nice Italian Restaurant? It is our 20th anniversary and we are looking for someplace special that is not a steak house so were thinking Italian.

Nicola's at the Shops of Legacy. Before or after you can walk over to Cru to enjoy some wine. Could even make a night of it and get a room at the Marriot.

Depending on what day, there are several of homecoming dances this weekend and many restaurants will be busy. Our know our group of 10+ kiddos is heading to Shops of Legacy with reservations...

+1 for Nicola's at the Shops at Legacy. We prefer if over the other Frisco/Plano area Italian restaurants. It's one of our regular "go to places" for family birthdays. Nice ambiance - more expensive than the Italian chains - but cheaper than the high end steakhouses when we have a big group of family members celebrating with us. Great food, impeccable service. Free valet at their front door.

ETA - Patrizio's is also high on our list - but prefer Nicola's for special occasions.

That's it... you are getting a nice home cooked meal in a couple of weeks...

Honestly Patrizio's is one of our favorite "go to" places if we want Italian on a special occasion (and really it's not that expensive, but the ambiance and service are great). And with this weather, the patio will be lovely.

Going a bit further

If you're looking for the best Italian restaurant in the Metroplex, then that title belongs to Lucia's in the Bishop Arts District. However the November reservation window came and went October 1st. If you call on November 1st, you might be able to secure reservations for December.

If for any reason you head up 377 there is a great Italian place in Pilot Point named Nick's. We absolutely love the food and it's a relatively small place, not romantic, and BYOB. It's on north end of town on the west side of the road and is actually run by the owner Nick who surprisingly is relatively young but grew up in family business and a former Marine which helps with me.

Which place did y'all pick?
Well we ended up passing on Italian and went to Capital Grill. We were thinking of going to Patrizzios but this is one of our regular places to go to and just wanted something different. But thank you all for the suggestions. FOL is always good at giving them.

I just pass these places up. Sorry, but is it really worth that? They obviously aren't hurting for business, and there are plenty of other amazing spots out there.
