We were flooded out of our home when a water heater burst while we were on vacation in August. Our insurance company had a "pool" of contractors and we used one of them. Unfortunately, the work which was supposed to be finished by October 1 is still going on. We believe there are deficiencies in the work. We would like to find someone who is very experienced in home construction whom we can hire to help us create a punch list of things that need to be finished and those things that simply need to be torn out and redone. We hope that someone very experienced in home construction has the background to be able to level valid critiques based on his/her experience. If this ends up in court, we need someone with a resume that will impress a judge and jury with his/her expertise. Thank you all in advance for any help you can provide.
