Frisco ISD’s National and State Rankings

If you’re like many Frisco residents, you moved here for the amazing school district and the opportunities it provides our students through the small-school model.

Yes, Frisco is the best place to Raise an Athlete,  Start a Family, and Raise a Family.

We know Frisco likes to do things on a grand scale, so it should come as no surprise that our schools are starting to make waves at a national level. Recently, U.S. News released their 2017 Best High Schools list and FISD made a solid appearance out of the 22,000 high schools originally considered.

The 6,041 high schools that earned an acknowledgment by the report are ranked by their students’ level of college readiness with gold, silver, and bronze medals.

The Criteria

Schools were chosen based on four main criteria according to US News:

FISD Rankings

Centennial, Frisco, Heritage, Liberty, and Wakeland each achieved a Silver Medal for college readiness.

Independence High School, which opened in 2014, earned a Bronze Medal rating.

And, of course, because we are a competitive district, here is the US News list in order:

Congratulations to my FISD colleagues, our students, the supportive parents and Frisco ISD for the continued insistence on raising the bar!
