If you’re a dog lover who can’t bear to leave your furry friend at home while you dine out, you’re in luck. Frisco is brimming with fantastic restaurants that welcome Fido to join you on their patio (leashed, of course). From cozy cafes to bustling bistros, we’ve sniffed out the top spots where you and your pup can enjoy a meal together al fresco.
(Oh, and while it’s a bummer, it must be said: not all dogs are created equal. Some have anxiety or don’t play well with other dogs. We recommend leaving those sweet babies at home.)
Grab your leash, pack some treats, and embark on an adventure that’s sure to get those tails wagging!
At Sidecar Social, your dog can join you at the umbrella-shaded tables on a 7,000-ft patio and even order food from the menu! The “Best Friend Bowl” features specially prepared chicken, carrots, and rice for your four-legged buddy. For the humans, Sidecar offers sandwiches, burgers, flatbreads, seafood, steak and more. Beer, wine, craft cocktails, and spirits are also served. (Note Sidecar Social is 21+ after 9:00 pm.) With massive TVs, live music, karaoke, table games and other entertainment, this sports bar is basically a playground for adults.

Known for its warm, social environment and fabulous food and drink menus, TruFire’s cozy patio is dog-friendly. Nestled in the corner of The Shops at Starwood, this longtime Frisco favorite is an American concept with Mediterranean, Italian, and globally inspired dishes. Items with cult-like followings include the Naked Avocado Salad, Hummus, Latin Fire Pizza, and the Spicy Garlic Noodles. They have a wine program and specialty cocktails that include fresh muddled fruits, house prepared sours, and syrups.
If your dog likes to mingle, grab some friends and head to Rudy’s, where you’ll find seven pet-friendly outdoor tables. The aroma of their BBQ favorites like brisket, turkey, ribs, chicken, sausage, and pulled pork might drive your pup crazy, so be prepared to share a little bit. Note: Rudy’s is a counter-service-style restaurant, so your dog should be tied up or with another companion when you go inside to order.

With two locations, one in City Center and another downtown, ultra-hip Karmic Grounds welcomes your pup on the patio. They boast sophisticated coffee-making equipment and exclusive, premium beans that allow customers to immerse themselves in the coffee-making (and consuming) process. More than a coffee shop, Karmic also has fresh food, a curated wine selection, and unique craft beers.

With three locations in Frisco, this funky pizzeria has six pet-friendly outdoor tables, so you can bring your dog along to share a slice. They offer classic style pizzas, but you’ll definitely want to check out their long list of very unique specialty pies, also. Or, maybe try one of their baked pasta dishes and finish up with dessert.

Right on the border of Frisco and Plano, Lazy Dog is a must-mention! Not only does this huge restaurant have awesome Colorado campfire vibes, but they have a special menu for your canine companion. The menu includes a few friendly rules to abide by, each of which sounds reasonable to us. Humans can select from a TON of delicious options on the delish menu. Honestly, it’ll be difficult to choose. Also, they might be the only place we’ve ever seen with “TV Dinners” available for takeout.
