Only a small percentage of Dallas Cowboys fans make it inside Arlington’s AT&T Stadium. In Frisco, however, at least once a year they can get up close and personal with their favorite players during free, open practices at Ford Center at The Star.
A tradition since 2016, following the team’s first portion of training camp in Oxnard, California, they’ll head home for two training days of prep right here in Frisco.
Mark your calendars: August 27-28 is your golden ticket to watch the ‘boys prepare for the 2024 season (or maybe a bedazzled blue ticket is a more fitting reference in this case.) Grab your favorite hat, jersey, and foam finger and take note of the details:
Cowboys Night Extravaganza – August 27th
Kick off the festivities with Cowboys Night on Tuesday, August 27th. The party starts at 4:00 p.m. on Tostitos Championship Plaza, where you can groove to the beats of a live DJ, hang out with our beloved mascot Rowdy, and dive into interactive games and giveaways. The doors to Ford Center swing open at 5:00 p.m., just in time for the open practice from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
And guess what? Cowboys Night will be broadcast live on TXA 21 from 6:00-7:00 p.m., hosted by the dynamic duo Bill Jones and Isaiah Stanback. Plus, get the inside scoop from DallasCowboys.com writers Nick Eatman, Nick Harris, Kyle Youmans, Patrik Walker, and Mickey Spagnola.
Season Kickoff Ceremony – August 28th
The excitement continues on Wednesday, August 28th, with the Season Kickoff Ceremony. The fun begins at 4:00 p.m. on Tostitos Championship Plaza. At 5:40 p.m., enjoy a dazzling performance by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and hear from the man himself, Cowboys Owner, President, and General Manager Jerry Jones. Then, watch the team in action during the open practice from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., so be sure to grab your spot early!
