It’s been a year since the Dallas Cowboys opened their incomparable headquarters just west of the Dallas North Tollway, The Star. And even while the construction crew was still on site, there was already talk about “America’s Team” holding at least part of their preseason training camp at The Star in the future.

Well, the future is here for Cowboys fans, so book your calendar now! From August 21 through August 24 and again on the 28th and 29th, the team will hold open practices at Ford Center. Even better news? Admission and parking to see the workouts are free, but all fans will need a ticket to gain admission into Ford Center and those quantities are limited.

On August 21, the Cowboys will start practicing at 3:30 PM, but there will be an opening ceremony at Ford Center thirty minutes earlier at 3:00 PM to officially kick off this event.

The Cowboys will still hold most of their training camp in Oxnard, California. An amazing environment for fans to watch practice, meet players, coaches, and even owner Jerry Jones, and get them to pose for pictures and sign autographs.

It’s unclear how much access fans will have to the players during these practices at Ford Center, but fans should have an opportunity to get a picture with players and maybe even get an autograph from them. Knowing the Cowboys, there should be several former players in attendance at these practices… guys who are more than willing to meet and interact with fans.

So, if you’re a Cowboy fan and have yet to venture to The Star, here’s your chance. Catch one of their open practices inside the climate-controlled Ford Center, and who knows, maybe you’ll have a moment with your favorite player or even with Jerry himself?!?!
