Kids are begging their parents for them and TikTok creators are finding great success making Crumbl review videos. Somehow, a single cookie franchise that started in Logan, Utah in 2017 has turned into a $1B business selling over 300M cookies. The brand is trending so much that it has merch!
The founders are Sawyer Hemsley and his cousin Jason McGowan. Their goal? To create the perfect chocolate chip cookie. Their first location opened while Hemsley was a senior at Utah State University
The concept? An open-concept kitchen where customers can watch their cookies being made.
Crumbl is famous for its weekly rotating menu, which keeps customers excited with new flavors. There’s a countdown clock on the website, teasing web visitors until Crumbl’s “Next Drop,” which might include flavors such as Salted Caramel Cheesecake, Blueberry Muffin, the Galaxy Brownie, or the Confetti Milkshake, among other irresistible recipes.

Marissa and Jeff Allen are the creative minds behind this Frisco-based brand. Marissa is the chief recipe developer, while Jeff, her business partner and taste tester, supports her endeavors.
Their entrepreneurial adventure began when Jeff, an 8-year NFL veteran, dared Marissa to create the perfect cookie. Rising to the challenge, she succeeded, and that initial perfect cookie led to the creation of over 70 unique flavors, including Banana Pudding and Salted Caramel.

“Life gets messy. It’s better with cookies.” That’s the motto over at Dirty Dough, the newest cookie shop on the block. So what makes the dough “dirty,” you ask? These super-stuffed treats are cookie bombs! Most of the cookies at Dirty Dough have special surprises inside, such as caramel filling or cream cheese frosting. Here are a few menu items that caught our attention:
- The Brown Sugar Cookie: A caramel-filled buttery brown sugar cookie that’s Pop Tart-inspired with cinnamon cream cheese frosting and Pop Tart pieces
- The Reverse: Fudge filling wrapped in a chocolate cookie then triple wrapped with a chocolate drizzle and crushed Reese’s.
- Cookies n Creme: Vanilla cookie loaded with Oreo cookie chunks and white chocolate chips, stuffed with a creme filling, and topped with white icing and Oreo crumbs.
- Chipped: A chocolate cookie covered with rich fudge and crispy cracked pepper potato chip bits. Sweet meets savory!
