If you’re looking to inject a little magic into the summer, search no further. Cirque Musica is coming to Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco on June 22nd.
Cirque Musica will be performing two shows– one starting at 3:00pm and the other at 7:30pm. Tickets are already on sale.
Part circus, part mind-blowing visual performance, and part symphony, Cirque Musica is a family friendly experience, and a great opportunity to introduce your kids to classical music while keeping them, and you, entertained.
The live symphony will play familiar music like Rimsky-Korsakov’s Flight of the Bumblebee, Holst’s The Planets, and a salute to some well known rock acts. Something tells me we’ll be hearing Kashmir.
Featuring performers from Cirque Du Soleil and Ringling Brothers, Cirque Musica boasts high production values and is not only coming to our town, but is based in our own backyard. Cirque Musica is produced by Stephen Cook and TCG Productions in Dallas.
The show also features clowns, so if you’re one of those who get a little freaked out by clowns, just come ready. I’m sure they’ll be friendly.
The creative team includes Stephen Cook, Debbie Gibson (yes, that Debbie Gibson. She did 2 original songs for the production), Christopher Walls (conductor), Richard Maslove (orchestrator), Tracy Sliverman (music director. Check out his electric violin Led Zeppelin medley.) and Marcelo Zarvos (composer).
