Tacos in Texas… they’re almost a religion. Really, how can we resist? Tacos are fast, filling, and fun. They won’t cost you a bundle, and they’re as complex or as simple as your whims demand. Plus, if you tire of one, don’t worry… fifty other flavors are waiting to take its place.
The newest entry to Frisco’s taco scene is Tacos 4 Life. Opening TOMORROW, this Arkansas-based restaurant continues to expand its reach in the South as the first location in Texas and the brand’s eighth location overall.
Full disclosure? I got to experience a sampling of six unique tacos and all I can say is, “OMG – the melt-in-your-mouth delectable and imaginative flavor combinations have me hooked.”
Eat Tacos. Give Life. Meal For Meal.
Tacos 4 Life is a unique restaurant concept with a mission to end world hunger, and the strategy is simple… Tacos 4 Life will donate the funds necessary to Feed My Starving Children to purchase one meal for every meal sold in the restaurant.
Childhood starvation and malnutrition is a devastating problem, claiming more than 6200 children’s lives a day around the world. The Tacos 4 Life team believes in saving lives through the Meal 4 Meal program.
In addition to the fresh, house-made and unique menu offerings, Tacos 4 Life’s mission is what draws consumers to become repeat-guests: to help end world hunger.
For every taco, quesadilla, salad or rice bowl sold, $.22 is donated to FMSC who has produced a scientifically-developed rice pack, called MannaPacks, designed to meet the needs of severely malnourished children in over 70 countries worldwide.
These meal packs have consistently received the highest grades awarded for accountability and transparency, 92% of donations are spent on feeding programs, and 99.6% of meals sent safely reach their intended locations out of 850+ million meals shipped in history.
In Queso Didn’t Know, Meet Your New Neighbor in Frisco
Frisco franchisee, Craig Moore, former president of Cici’s Pizza and Nothing Bundt Cakes and current president of Buttermilk Sky Pie Company, will open the first Texas location along with Rob Lesieur – Frisco’s Franchisee Operating Partner.
Moore, a Texas native with over 25 years of franchise experience, plans to open five additional Texas locations over the next three years in the DFW area. Moore shared,
I was drawn to Tacos 4 Life because of their sincere mission, superior food and unbelievable service. I’ve been a franchising veteran for many years and I know that Tacos 4 Life will continue to thrive in Texas.
Long before Tacos 4 Life opened its doors, Co-Founders and Owners, Austin and Ashton Samuelson, had a heart for the hungry. In 2009, they learned that over 18,000 children were dying worldwide each day due to starvation and hunger-related causes.
What surprised them the most is that the problem was completely preventable. Starvation is nothing more than a distribution problem. This simple fact moved them so much that they knew they could, and should, do something to help solve this problem. Thus, Tacos 4 Life was born.
The Samuelson’s believe that God is up to something big and can use Tacos 4 Life, which exists to serve amazing food and to empower communities to fight to end world hunger, to help solve the world’s most solvable problem.
As a highly-differentiated restaurant, Tacos 4 Life offers chef-inspired, award-winning menu items served in a unique environment.
Great food, genuine service, and a mission focus that changes the world with every meal. Austin Samuelson, Tacos 4 Life founder, shared,
“We have been wanting to come to Texas for some time now and Frisco is the perfect place for us to do so. It’s family-oriented, a great community and has a great up-and-coming food scene that we are proud to be a part of.”
“I’m so proud to bring our mission to Texas as we enter 2018,” said Ashton Samuelson, Tacos 4 Life founder. “We know that Frisco and Texas in general will be a huge asset in helping us fight world hunger.”
