For the 3rd year in a row we’ve asked you who makes the Best Burger in Frisco. This year, twice as many of you voted.
And while this poll reflects the opinion of the Frisco voter, this year we’re chiming in with a little editorial opinion as well, The Editors Choice.
We created the original list by asking our readers on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ , “Who makes the best burger in Frisco?” We then took the 10 burger joints with the most mentions and used them to create our list.
Since then, the list has evolved based on your feedback and voting patterns. A few dropped off the list from 2015, and a new contenders were added.
We excluded large chains, while local and beloved mid-sized chains were included.
So let’s dig in to the top 10, and find out who this year’s Frisco Burgermeister is!
#10 Aces Ice House & Chop Shop
With just .3% of the vote, Ace’s dropped from last years #8 to #10. I tried burger several times in Aces first go around and found it to be one of the tastiest in town. We suspect they’ve been plagued by fits and starts after the initial attempt closed down. If the current burger is as good as the original, it’s definitely worth a visit.

Randy’s Steakhouse holds it’s position at #9 from 2015. Randy’s is a bit of Frisco History and a true Frisco gem. With 0.7% of the vote they moved up a notch from #10 last year. Hopefully that means more of you have been paying them a visit and trying the burger because it is a good one!!!

#8 Three Squares
On the burger front Three Squares isn’t usually the first place to come to mind but when they first opened it was the first thing we tried there and it deservedly puts them on the list. Three Squares captured 2.4% of the vote. Get it with the egg… trust me.

#7 Smashburger
Falling from #5 to #7, with 4.8% of the vote, fast-casual Smashburger is still an excellent choice when you want a fast-casual burger. We don’t visit here often enough when in the burger mood. If you haven’t visited them in a while it’s time to stop in!

#6 Stan’s Main Street – Editors Choice – Have A Seat
Last year we didn’t have Stan’s on the list and Ohhhh did you let us hear about it! So we were a little surprised to find Stan’s coming in at #6 with 6.8% of the vote. Though that is still a respectable spot for their debut. They’re burger also gets the Editors Choice award. Whether you like it with all the fixins’ or as I do, no non-sense meat, bun, cheese (and maybe a little ketchup) we had our first bite of Stan’s burger this time last year and have loved it ever since. If you’re looking for the perfect bar burger without the fuss, head to Stan’s.
#5 Scotty P’s
Scotty P’s is a Frisco institution. But this year the slipped from #4 to #5 in our survey with 10.9% of the vote. Down a spot or not, they are still the 5th best burger in Frisco according to you and always a good choice when burgers are on the menu for dinner. Hot off the grill you can smell them when you drive by so just turn in and treat yourself to one good burger!

#4 Burger 21
New to Frisco and new to our list Burger 21 debuts at an impressive #4 with 11.6% of the vote. We recently did a review of Burger 21 and while some of you balked at the prices, many of you found the quality of the food well worth while. Either way, the votes speak for themselves. Next time you’re in Frisco Square, stop in at Burger 21 and give it a go, then come let us know what you think.

#3 Jakes Uptown
Holding the #3 spot from last year with 11.6% of the vote. They’re rounded percentage was the same as Burger 21 but they had 1 more vote. Jake’s Uptown in Frisco is a winner on a lot of fronts. Great location, great atmosphere and of course, amazing burgers! They’re always busy which is no surprise and their patio is one of the best place to enjoy a good burger this time of year in Frisco. When we think of burgers, Jake’s is often top of mind! Pro tip, you can get your burger bun without the seeds.

#2 Mooyah – Editors Choice for Fast Casual/Eat and Run
Holding on to #2 from 2015 with 13.4% of the vote, Mooyah is our editors pick when you want a good burger but you just don’t have much time. It’s counter service/fast-casual so don’t expect to run in and out in 5 minutes. But if you don’t have much time, this is the place to go. You know we love supporting locally owned businesses. But that doesn’t get you any points in a burger contest. Mooyah was founded in neighboring Plano and are doing quite well. FYI We have see sources citing them as headquartered in Frisco but weren’t able to validate that. Either way, they’re keeping us full with great burgers.

They racked up 38% of the vote, up 3% from last year, and 3% in 2015. Apparently Frisco loves them more every year. Kenny’s is know for their gourmet, load-it-up burgers made with high quality ingredients. They have an array of combinations that you just have to try for yourself.
