I love hotels. I love the feeling of being pampered. You want shampoo? Call downstairs. Want new sheets and towels? Call downstairs. It’s nice to experience a little self-indulgent spoiling sometimes, and there’s no place better to have a “me” weekend (or any other time for some escapism) than Aloft Frisco. Think about it… You can shop ’til you drop, and you don’t even have to drive. That’s why Aloft is a perfect place for one of those weekends where you’re just lazy enough to buy pants before taking a mid-day nap.
Aloft is located on Parkwood in the Stonebriar shopping center by SuperTarget and TJ Maxx, so shopping trips are more than convenient. They’re walking distance. You can also consider this your exercise for the day so you can enjoy their sumptuous bar snacks later… we won’t tell. The Aloft hotel specializes in “staycations” and want Frisconians to know it. They have shuttles to take you to Stonebriar Mall or any of the shopping centers nearby.
I stayed in this hotel and love the way it’s designed. Some travelers may prefer a classic bed-and-breakfast ambience, but I love the bright colors, energetic music, and fast pace. It’s all because Aloft was developed as an urban hotel, a hotel that doesn’t feel out-of-place in downtown Dallas. The rooms have loft-style, ultra-comfortable signature double beds with an open space and the bathroom right behind the beds. An oversized showerhead and custom amenities by Bliss® Spa, can turn your room into the ultimate spa-cation.
The building’s exterior features are bright and noticeable like a city skyscraper. Specializing in bringing the locals into the hotel for dinner, drinks or just the lounge experience, Aloft advertises their W XYZ bar. Being owned by Starwood Hotels Group, the W is a part of their brand. The Westin, The W, St. Regis, Le Meridien, and Element are other hotels in the group. The Aloft also advertises special rates for local staycations (for those uninitiated, it’s the idea of staying in town for a vacation, rather than traveling very far). With their “Charge It” program, guests pay a little more and receive a coupon book for Stonebriar Mall, a $50 gift card for any shop in the Stonebriar area, and a $20 credit for the W XYZ bar.
For Friscoians who don’t want to staycation without their kids/pets, don’t worry. Aloft has two special plans to get them in the door and taken care of. They have the “ARF” program and Camp Aloft for kids, both include special beds and treats- one just happens to be for dogs. The Aloft is complete with a pool, a gym, and indoor and outdoor lounge areas for gathering with other guests.
With local corporate headquarters like JCPenney, Frito-Lay, Ericcson, HP, and now the Dallas Cowboys, Aloft is perfect for those traveling to Frisco on business. The hotel boasts of hotel-wide free Wi-Fi (even at the Splash pool and outside the building… a super rare occurrence), business lounge areas with computers set up for guests, and they have extended stay options for longer business trips.
Bring the two- and four-legged kids, or don’t. Either way, this hotel will loft your lodging expectations to new heights.
