Now that we’re looking at the end of another school year, the question for all parents becomes, “How to entertain the kids this summer?”  Well, look no further than the Frisco Discovery Center for art camps of all kinds…

The following camp hosts will be active in June with over 20 varieties of camps to choose from for kids ages 5-18!

  • Bricks 4 Kidz: June 15-19; 22-26  Sign your son or daughter up for a Bricks 4 Kidz® summer camp to have fun with LEGO® bricks!  They’ll keep the fact that they are learning science, math, and engineering concepts a secret between the parents and teachers.  With camps specially designed for kids ages 5-13, the camps have a fast, varied pace with guided projects and challenges as well as time for free-play, so the kids are always having fun.  Screened, trained Bricks 4 Kidz®  staff provide friendly, qualified supervision for your children, so you can rest assured they are safe and happy.
  • Drama Kids: June 8-12  Drama Kids provides remarkable creative drama education for children and young adults. As the most popular after school drama program in the world, Drama Kids has provided innovative programs to tens of thousands
of children in the USA since 1999.  Their program can be found in Frisco ISD, Allen ISD, Plano ISD, and community programs such as the Frisco Athletic Center to name just a few.
  • Girl Scouts Camp reMix: June 23-25   From 9am to 4pm, girls aged 7 to 11 will discover the crazy, mind-stretching world of STEM by building, measuring, testing, and making some of their own masterpieces! Hosted at Frisco’s Sci-Tech Discovery Center, girls will investigate, construct, play, and design their way through exciting, hands-on STEM projects – learning problem-solving and earning badges along the way!
  • GlobalArt: June 15-19  As we moved into the new age, creativity and innovation have become a necessity as people will need new and unique ways in solving present and future problems.  Established in the year of 1999, GlobalArt learning methodology and creative art enrichment programs have been adopted and implemented throughout the world.  GlobalArt lives on the beliefs that, by inculcating good learning disciplines our learners will be able to practice Creativity and Innovation by creating solutions to their everyday challenges, elevating their thinking abilities and resourcefulness.  By introducing early creative education, GlobalArt is providing a platform in nurturing young minds to be creative and innovative, optimizing their potentials and enriching their lives.
  • Frisco Youth Theatre: June 15-19; 22-26; 15-26   Grouped by age, students actively participate in visual and performing arts. Every student will perform on Friday to demonstrate what they’ve learned. Each week’s theme will involve a variety of visual art projects including painting, pottery, mixed media, cartooning, sculpture, drawing, collage and/or printing.  Performing arts activities include story dramatization, improvisation, theatre games, poetry, movement, singing, puppetry & pantomime. Includes camp t-shirt. (Bring a snack and drink)
  • Science, Entertainment, and Design: June 8-12, 15-19, June 29-July 3   Spend your summer break learning science with hands-on activities designed to inspire and delight. Each camp is one week long and focuses on a unique, exciting science topic. You will learn fundamental science concepts while you experiment and create projects throughout the week. SED camps are open to students entering 1st grade through 8th grade in Fall 2015.
  • Squee Productions: June 29-July 11  For Squee kids (ages 5-12), Squee Juniors (ages 12-15), and Squee Teens (ages 15-18), Squee Productions strives to provide a multi-faceted educational experience to all performers interested in excelling in their acting craft.  Launched in 2013 out of a need to provide student actors in North Texas with a legitimate, challenging, and engaging theatre experience, Squee delivers productions and classes that are thought provoking, literary works of art, and challenges to all artists.

Keep checking back here weekly as new camps are added and to see the full listing of ALL summer camps presented by Frisco Arts at the Frisco Discovery Center!
