My wife and I are second-time Frisco residents, but just landed in our latest home over the last year.
One of the most exciting things about new digs for us is meeting new neighbors and learning what do they like to do for fun!
While rooting on California Chrome at a Kentucky Derby party, we met Beth King and her husband Lance. They are huge Lacrosse fans and coach a local program Frisco Lacrosse. While it is only a few years old, it is having phenomenal success!
About Frisco Lacrosse

The Frisco Girls Lacrosse program has been around for 4 years now. It started with one 3rd/4th grade team and has now grown to 7 teams with players ranging in age from 1st thru 12th grade. This season we fielded our first ever Varsity team who entered the Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League’s Division II bracket of the North Texas District. In Texas there are 3 Districts – North (DFW) South (Austin) Central (Houston).
The Frisco PRIDE, as our team calls themselves (we have players representing 6 different Frisco High School’s), went undefeated in the Division II season, and swept the DII Championship game last Sunday. They secured victories over Irma Rangel, McKinney, and Keller in the Final game at Southlake.
Frisco’s Sophia Eigo #9 was game MVP and immediately after the game, we had three players named to All-State. Attacker, Lauren Hickman #18, Defender, Madison Altieri #12 & Mid-fielder, Sophia Eigo #9.
The PRIDE heads to STATE this coming weekend 5/9-5/11 and is entering into play ranked #2.
With a bye in the first round, the Frisco PRIDE will face off against the Winner of St. Agnes and Georgetown in the semi-finals on Saturday at 3:30 pm at the South Sports Campus in Houston. The final game is at 9:30 am on Sunday, May 11th.
As neighbors and fans of youth sports, we applaud the PRIDE and Frisco Lacrosse for their success to date and hope they can bring the State Championship to Frisco!
