After working a two-game split against the Austin Toros, the Texas Legends headed for Reno, Nevada. Game one of their double-header had them facing the Canton Charge, and the nightcap featured the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

After leading at halftime 61-49, it appeared as though the Legends were well on their way to neutralizing the Charge. But Canton outscored Texas by 30 points in the fateful second half, as they pulled away with a commanding 18-point win.
Forward Devin Ebanks led the Legends in scoring once again, as he connected for 27 points while collecting six total rebounds. Forward/Center Melvin Ely contributed 24 points, and former St. Mary’s standout, Guard Mickey McConnell, had six points and 10 assists.
L Texas Legends (10-7) Vs. Fort Wayne Mad Ants (9-7)—105-99
Devin Ebanks returned to his double-double ways as he connected for 20 points with 11 boards. Getting the nod to start once again, Sean Singletary had 15 points, seven assists and four rebounds in just over 30 minutes of playing time. G Chris Douglas-Roberts was outstanding off the bench, scoring 20 points and picking up three assists with seven total rebounds.
Despite solid contributions from their core, the Legends were unable to stop the relentless scoring of the Mad Ants, who had five players reach double-digits in points.
All told, the Legends’ two-game skid has dropped them four games behind the Central Division-leading Rio Grande Valley Vipers. The Legends have a chance to gain ground on the Vipers this weekend, as Rio Grande Valley visits Frisco.
Ricky Ledo Added to Mavericks Roster
For the second-straight article, the Legends’ player spotlight shines on G Ricky Ledo. However, this time it is not for his accomplishments in the D-League. The day before yesterday, Ricky Ledo was called up from the Texas Legends and added to the Dallas Mavericks roster.
Although he didn’t see any playing time during his first two games, he played four minutes in last night’s 112-90 loss to the San Antonio Spurs. Ledo made the most of his short time on the court, scoring five points. With SG Shawn Marion still nursing a shoulder injury, Ledo may see extended time on the Mavericks’ roster.
