“Saturdays at the Museum” at Frisco Heritage Museum; 9:30-11am; 6455 Page Street, Frisco, Texas 75034 (map) “Saturdays at the Museum” is a lecture series presented by the Heritage Association of Frisco, Inc. with guest speaker Michael Sturdy, Director of Education, Museum of the American Railroad. Before the smoke had cleared at San Jacinto in 1836, the leaders of the new Republic of Texas recognized the importance of streams of locomotive technology to the young state’s development. Without the railroad, North Texas as we know it today might not exist.
