Planning on staying in Frisco for Thanksgiving Holiday? Dreading the sound of “Mom, I’m bored!!“ ringing in your ears after the first morning off school? Did you know there are some great camps running during the school break? Why not try one of these five options happening around town for all ages.

Frisco Discovery Center (Options for PreK up to Grade 6)

Monday, November 24
Ages 3-5:
Pumpkin Potions & Apple Adventures (AM & PM)
Taking advantage of Autumn’s colorful leaves with some preschool camp fun. We will be leaf graphing, learning about the parts of a leaf, and making a keepsake leaf ornament. Stirring up some fun with pumpkin potions, kids will learn all about the pumpkin life cycle, and do some pumpkin science with engaging songs, themed stories and experiments!

Grades 1-3 & 4-6:
It Makes Sense: The Science of Sound (AM)
It Makes Sense: The Science of Sight (PM)

Tuesday, November 25
Ages 3-5:
What’s Poppin’: Popcorn Investigations & Leaf Science
(AM & PM)
Pop on over to Sci-Tech’s Pre-K camp where we will be learning all about popcorn science with a “hopping” kernel experiment, Experience some seasonal fun with our magic popcorn ornament. The second half of the camp will feature erupting apple science experiments!

Grades 1-3 & 4-6:

On a Roll: The Science of Movement (PM)

Young Chefs Academy

Cook up some fun!! Yummy Thanksgiving themed camps for Elementary age kids. Fun hands on experience working on Thanksgiving breakfasts, main and desserts creating yummy flavors. **All ingredients, material, instruction, use of aprons, tasting, copies of recipes – INCLUDED!! **

Besides offering outstanding gymnastics training for young athletes Woga also offer fun day camps for kids. Here are the details for the Thanksgiving holiday at 2 locations with full day and half day options.

Color Me Mine Kids Thanksgiving Break 2014

Keep those little artists busy and creating while out of school! Workshops offered Monday-Friday of Thanksgiving Break, excluding Thanksgiving Day from 9am – 12 noon. Each class features a fun item to paint, games and extra arts and crafts! Age 6+ and snacks will be provided so painters don’t get hungry!
