“The Complete William Shakespeare (Abridged)” – In this acclaimed theater experience, Frisco Community Theatre will compress the complete works of Shakespeare into about an hour and 40 minutes of high-speed over-the-top hilarity. Three guys and 37 plays in under two hours. Knowledge about Shakespeare’s works is not at all necessary. All that is needed is someone to dial 911 in case you pass out from laughing so much! “FISD Cinco de Mayo Celebration” – Families of all backgrounds are invited to join Frisco ISD on Saturday, May 2 for a Cinco de Mayo celebration at Stonebriar Church, 4801 Legendary Drive. The free event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature food, entertainment and kids’ activities such as bounce houses and a dunk tank. Also making guest appearances will be representatives from the the Frisco Roughriders, FC Dallas and other community organizations. For more information. “6th Annual You Be The Tour Guide Awards Ceremony” – “You Be The Tour Guide is a unique way for Frisco to showcase all the aspects that make our city so special. Every photographer interprets the city sights differently and together the different perspectives present the complete picture,” says Eileen Neighbors, marketing manager for Stonebriar mall. “The photographs are delightful by themselves, but more impactful when viewed as a group, so this year, we will display all the winning photos together in a special gallery called Sights of Frisco. The gallery wall will be on the lower level next to Vera Bradley and will showcase large images of the winning photos. Frisco Mayor Maher Maso will announce prizes to the top three winners in two categories, adult and student. One overall grand prize winner in the student category will win a $500 Shop Etc. gift card from Stonebriar mall. Thephotojournalism department of the Frisco Independent School District high school with the most entries will be awarded a $500 Shop Etc. gift card from Stonebriar mall. The announcement ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. on the lower level in the JCPenney and Dick’s Sporting Goods court. Following the presentation of the photo contest winners, guests are invited to enjoy the Celebrate Teachers! Fashion Show at 2 p.m.

“Frisco City Council Meeting” – The Frisco City Council typically meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month inside the City Council Chamber at the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd. Citizens are welcome to attend the open meeting, which generally begins at 6:30 p.m. Citizens’ input is heard at approximately 7:30 p.m.
“Tuesday Story Time at Stonebriar mall Pottery Barn Kids” – Kids are invited to drop by for readings of favorite children’s stories. In honor of Mom, Tuesday, May 5, features a special Mother’s Day theme. Other May sessions are Tuesdays, May 12, 19 and 26 at 11am. Story Time is presented compliments of Pottery Barn Kids and reservations are not required. A parent/caregiver is required to remain with children. Pottery Barn Kids is on the upper level near the Food Court. At their first Story Time, children will receive an official Book Club Card. The Card is stamped for each attendance. When the Card has five stamps, the child will receive a special gift.
