I love this place so much I don’t know where to begin, and I HATE grocery shopping!
Market Street is a cross between a traditional grocery store and an upscale specialty provider. They don’t get quite as exotic as Whole Foods, but you get the idea.
This store provides so much that it’s hard to know where to begin. Most of the grocery aisles are fairly traditional, and you’ll find everything you need and expect. What you’ll also find are fresh seafood, a great meat counter, a huge beer selection, sushi counter (they’ll make it right there to request), florist, and gift center.
Notably, Market Street also has a very respectable wine room. Market Street Frisco’s Wine Steward Justin is super friendly and really knows his stuff. He’s pointed us to several new wines we’ve fallen in love with. The wine room is also conveniently located near the extensive collection of cheese. Mmmmmm…. Cheese.
One of the highlights of Market Street is the prepared food area where you can get meals made to order including a grill, salads, soups, sandwiches, pizza, and more complete meals. If you don’t feel like cooking one night, check it out. They have something for everyone. Market Street also has daily-made pre-packaged meals that I’ve had many times and always been pleased with how good they were.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t also mention the extensive bakery. Cookies, breads, pies, tiny cake-balls… you name it they have it.
By the way, the breakfast burrito is killer (served until 10:30 am), and on your way out (or in) you can hit the Peet’s Coffee bar to get your java fix or grab one of the many shakes they offer. You can even get a wheat grass shot if you’re going for super healthy!
Speaking of healthy, they have a larger than usual health food section right by the Pharmacy, so you can pick up supplements, protein powder, and more while you’re there. The Pharmacy is also drive-through if you just need to pick up medications.
Service
The service at Market Street is a step up from the usual grocery store. When they’re not actively checking people out, you’ll find staff standing at the front of the aisles so you know their lane is open, and they’re ready to help.
When you’re done, someone will walk you out to help load groceries into your car and return the cart to the store. This add-on service has the beneficial side effect of keeping patrons from having to worry about where the cart goes while keeping the parking lot clear of rogue carts waiting to dent car doors.
Market Street also provides catering. We’ve used it for a few events, and it’s been excellent across the board.
On the weekend mornings, you’ll often find representatives and staff stationed throughout the store handing out samples of food, beer, and wine so take a little appetite with you when you go.
Rewards & Deals
Market Street runs a rewards program you don’t want to miss out on. I’m not particularly good about using many rewards programs, but I always use this one. If you spend much time here, you’ll rack up points fast for sure with things like reduced prices on gas at the Market Street gas station (on the northwest corner of Dallas Parkway and El Dorado).
If you’re in Frisco, Market Street is a great place to shop. If you live in Cobb Farm, it’s within walking distance so consider yourself warned!
