Who really makes the best burger in Frisco?
We wanted to find out. But the battle for the title of “Best Burger” is a contentious one and is sure to raise passionate disagreement among burger fans.
So what better way to declare a winner for 2014 than to ask Lifestyle Frisco readers to cast their vote and decide.
The results weren’t even close, but before we get there… here’s how we decided who would make the list.
We asked our readers on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ , “Who makes the best burger in Frisco?” We then took the 10 burger joints with the most mentions and used them to form our list.
We dropped those 10 into a survey and fired it off to find out who will be Frisco’s Burgermeister for the next year.
Several chains made the cut. And while we don’t normally cover chain businesses, our goal was to find the best burger, no matter where it came from.
616 Frisconians responded, and here are the top 10 places to get a burger in Frisco according to YOUR votes.
#10 Randy’s Steakhouse
Randy’s Steakhouse is a bit of Frisco History and a true gem in Frisco. With 0.65% of the vote my guess is they’re known more for their steaks than burgers. Having had the burger I can assure you they make a good one and if you’re a burger connoisseur, you have to give Randy’s a shot.

#8 JC’s Burger House
Pulling in 2.92% of the vote, JC’s Burger House has, according to their website and the Plano Profile, been voted best burger in Collin County every year from 2010 – 2013. Now, technically JC’s is in Plano but they’re right on the border and enough of you mentioned them that we left them in. Hopefully they’ll open a place in Frisco proper.

#7 Liberty Burger
Ok, this one just slipped through. They’re in Allen, not Frisco. Still, they racked up 3.73% of the vote. We’ll admit that we should have caught that and hope that we get one in Frisco before the 2015 vote! Love ’em or not, they won’t be in for next year if they’re not in Frisco. But if you happen to venture over to Allen, check ’em out.

In-n-Out has been on a tear since arriving in Texas, and apparently Frisco loves having them here. They pulled in 5.84% of the vote and are one of the few fast-food restaurants to make the list.

#4 Jakes Uptown
We’ve covered Jake’s Uptown in Frisco in the past and based on our experience with them in Uptown Dallas we are happy to have them in Frisco Square. They captured 8.12% of the vote and our #4 spot. If you haven’t been to Jake’s yet, just do it!

#3 Scotty P’s
Scotty P’s ia a Frisco institution and their involvement in the community makes them a standout business. But this survey was about one thing, the burger. When I moved back to Frisco after living in Uptown for 4 years, one of the first things I wanted was a Scotty P’s burger. Pulling in 16.72% of the vote Scotty P’s comes in at #3. You’ll know what a treat you’re in for the minute you pull up and smell that grill.

#2 Mooyah
Racking up an impressive 19.97% of the vote, Mooyah is one of the many fast-casual burger restaurants on our list. Just melting with goodness Mooyah makes our mouths water just saying it. Founded in neighboring Plano, we saw several sources referring to them being headquartered in Frisco but weren’t able to validate that. Either way, they’re based nearby and making us proud with great burgers.

#1 Kenny’s Burger Joint
When it comes to their burgers Frisconians like to go all out, so it’s no surprise that Kenny’s Burger Joint ran away with 31.66% of the vote, garnering more votes than anyone else. It seems the Kenny’s restaurants do everything exceptionally well and their burgers are no exception. When it came to picking a knock-out burger joint, Lifestyle Frisco readers showed us that they really do know a great burger. If you haven’t already tried Kenny’s, drop everything and go now. You’ll be glad you did!
