May is National Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month. In the United States, an estimated 30,000 people are living with cystic fibrosis, a hereditary chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. Approximately 1,000 new cases of CF are diagnosed each year and more than 75 percent of people with CF are diagnosed by the age 2.
On Thursday, May 5th, and Friday, May 6th, Anne-Marie, founder of Lillian Welch, and Allison Stackpole, founder and lead designer of BLO Vintage, are hosting a special “Trunk Show and Meet the Designer” event that will feature jewelry pieces which aim to raise awareness for this disease.
A percentage of their proceeds for these days will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which funds lifesaving research and works to provide access to quality, specialized care and effective treatments for people with CF. Through its efforts, the life expectancy of a child with CF has doubled in the last 30 years.

From 10am to 8pm on Thursday, and 10am to 6pm on Friday, this special “Trunk Show and Meet the Designer“event comes at a perfect time to collect one of a kind pieces for graduates or moms while also helping advance the awareness of CF.
