Tis the season…for dining out! With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season in full swing, a cozy and convenient dinner out is a great way to relax and unwind. Eddie’s Napolis Ristorante Italiano, located at Main Street and Teel Parkway in West Frisco, is a perfect spot to enjoy an evening with family or friends this December.
The original Eddie’s opened in Garland more than 20 years ago. Now, there are a handful of them across the Dallas area, with our Frisco location having quickly earned many loyal patrons.
Some call it “unpretentiously upscale.” Others might dub it “casual elegance.” Whichever adjectives you prefer, the family-owned Eddie’s Napolis has been serving up good food and good times to Frisco residents for almost five years. This inviting neighborhood restaurant offers a wide variety of authentic Italian dishes, complemented by a nice wine list, live music, and a full bar. (Make a note: bottles of wine are half price on Wednesday!)
Homemade Italian Favorites
The extensive menu includes specialty pizzas and homemade pastas, as well as chicken, beef, and seafood. The dinner menu focuses on traditional Italian favorites and includes creative signature dishes, as well as salads and appetizers. With options ranging from hearty classic pastas like lasagna and eggplant parmesan to a lighter savory grilled salmon, Eddie’s offers something for every taste. (The complimentary garlic bread knots with marinara sauce melt in your mouth!)
The intimate but casual atmosphere is also great for any occasion. The restaurant has live music on Wednesday evenings and weekends, with regular performers crooning crowd-pleasing favorites, Italian classics, and Frank Sinatra standards. The music is lively but low key, giving the restaurant a loungy vibe perfect for a date night or celebration with friends.
On the weekends, it’s not uncommon for the live performer and management team to encourage the entire restaurant to join in and sing along to certain favorite melodies such as Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline! They’ll have the entire dining room singing together, feeling like a family. It feels like you just stepped into a large Italian family’s dinner party! One loyal Frisco patron said,
I’ve been a few times, it’s Frisco’s little secret! I noticed several people who you could tell were there a lot…maybe a few times a week as they (regulars) have a certain routine that the staff is in on… They sit themselves at ‘their’ table, never look at menus, drinks are brought without ordering… Pretty cool.
While Eddie’s is a master at hosting romantic date nights, complete with red roses and a fine wine list, they also know how to host kids and young families. The atmosphere hums with music and conversation, so the occasionally loud toddler blends in without disrupting. Both the menu and prices are family-friendly also. All too often, dining out with children at nice restaurants is an uncomfortable experience, and “family-friendly” can be code for noisy with mediocre food. Eddie’s is truly a rare find – a casual neighborhood spot that is enjoyable for both adults and kids.
There is a covered, outdoor patio with full table service as well as bar seating. The patio is warm in the winter, breezy in the summer. One Lifestyle Frisco reader shared,
Sshhhhhh! Dont tell too many people about how good [Eddie’s] is or the wait for a table will be longer! It is definitely our favorite Italian restaurant. Have never been disappointed in anything we have ordered and the service is great too.
This holiday, simplify your “to do list” and swap out a night of cooking for a relaxed and festive dinner out. Whether you’re entertaining friends, hosting out of town guests, or just looking for a break from the kitchen, an evening at Eddie’s Napolis makes a fun holiday treat. With a lively atmosphere and homemade Italian comfort food, it’s a perfect (and low stress) way to celebrate the season.
