With a deadline of Monday, February 20th, the Frisco Public Art Program “Art in the Atrium 14” has issued a call to all artists. The mission of the City of Frisco Public Art Program is to enrich Frisco’s artistic vitality and cultural vibrancy by bringing dynamic contemporary art to a broad audience of residents and visitors.
In keeping with that mission, the Public Art Board initiated Frisco’s ongoing Art in the Atrium series at the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center. This facility, with its open atrium design and tall limestone walls, has proven to be an exceptional venue for showcasing the artistic excellence of our local and regional artists.
Therefore, the City of Frisco seeks current, 2-Dimensional works of art by artists from Frisco and the surrounding area for this the 14th installment of Art in the Atrium. The exhibition showcases regional artistic endeavors and encourages public dialogue, understanding, and enjoyment of visual art. The program’s goal is to reflect the artistic excellence in and around Frisco and to promote the City’s cultural and economic initiatives.
Get ready to visit the “Art in the Atrium 14” between Monday, April 10, 2017 through Friday, September 8, 2017.
